The spigot is attached to the opening of the container. Once attached, it allows the 5 gallon cube to be placed on its side, and for the solution to be poured out. The spout functions very much like the ones found on Laundry Detergent Containers, or even like a soft drink dispenser found at restaurants. Simply flip the spout of the spigot and the solution can easily be poured into a spray bottle, the chamber of a carpet cleaning machine, or a bucket. Once you have dispensed the required amount flip the spout back and close it. Having a spout makes pouring the solution so much easier!
